You should choose a cart that has thick wheels with threads if you are traveling through snow or over a long distance. In addition, you need to measure the length of the handle.  If you are tall, you have to look for a luggage cart that has a long handle so that you will be pulling the cart without bending too much or stooping over. Pulling a cart with the wrong posture can hurt worse than just carrying your luggage in the first place.

Moreover, you have to take measurements of the width of the carrying platform so that you can determine how many pieces of luggage will it fit to the cart whether standing or lying.

Another consideration is to determine the weight of the luggage cart. Higher quality carts tend to weigh more, but they will last longer and roll more easily.
